Help our homeless Walthamstow

Help our homeless

Last year, 11,993 people slept rough in London. We want to change that—because everyone deserves a place to call home. This winter, you can help.

For every property owner displaying our “Help Our Homeless” board, we’ll donate £20 to Forest Churches Emergency Night Shelter (FCENS).

FCENS is an independent charity (No: 1148362) dedicated to supporting homeless adults in Waltham Forest.

FCENS operates a drop-in centre and a winter shelter at the YMCA in Walthamstow. Their goal is that no one in the borough has to sleep rough and that everyone has access to a safe place to stay.

  • It’s simple! If you’re a homeowner or landlord, you can opt to display a “Help Our Homeless” board outside your property. The board will stay up for six weeks, and at the end of the period, we’ll donate £20 to Forest Churches Emergency Night Shelter (FCENS) on your behalf.

  • No, there’s no cost to you. Your participation simply involves displaying the board outside your property.

  • Simply complete the form, email us at info@settleeast.co.uk, call us on 0208 124 2522, or visit us in person at 187 Hoe Street, Walthamstow, E17 3AP. We’ll take care of the rest!

  • We’ll keep participants updated on the total amount raised and share updates from Forest Churches Emergency Night Shelter so you can see the difference your support has made.

  • Yes! If you’re not actively selling or renting but would still like to help, we can display the board at your property as part of the campaign.

  • The campaign will run from December 2024 to March 2025, with boards displayed for a six-week period within this timeframe.
